Elegant pieces look thin and beautiful chanel watches

Thin is very much still in for Piaget, which built its reputation when it introduced two of the world's thinnest calibres - the 2mm hand-wound 9P in 1957 and the 2.3mm automatic 12P three years later. Of the 29 movements developed by the Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie Piaget to date, 17 have been ultrathin calibres.At the SIHH last year, replica chanel watches the ante with the world's thinnest mechanical watch movements at 2.35mm with the 1200P and the 1208P. This year, Piaget took slimness to another new dimension with the 1270P which, at 5.55mm, is the world's thinnest hand-wound tourbillon and took the manufacturer three years to develop.

The new 1270P, featuring 269 components, powers Piaget's Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic, which has the slimmest profile of any automatic tourbillon watch at 10.4mm. The new addition to the Emperador Coussin family comes in 18k white or pink gold, with black alligator leather strap and has hours, minutes and seconds functions, a 40-hour power reserve indicator and an off-hour hour indicator at 4 o'clock.

Piaget has revved up its Altiplano collection with two exclusive timepieces in 34mm and 38mm with a pave dial. The dial is fully set with 574 and 735 diamonds respectively, 72 and 78 respectively on the bezels, and another 23 on the pin buckle of its alligator strap, giving the watches a total of 2.2 and 2.9 carats respectively. Both are powered by the Piaget 430P ultrathin mechanical hand-wound movement and feature hours and minutes functions only, and a power reserve of 40 hours.

More understated are another three Altiplano references in 34mm, 40mm and 43mm, all featuring gem-set bezels only. The 43mm, which was introduced at SIHH 2010, comes in a 5.25mm white gold case this year, making it the thinnest automatic watch. The Calibre 1208P drives hours, minutes and a small seconds indicator at 5 o'clock and offers a 40-hour power reserve.

The 40mm in pink gold and gem-set bezel comes with a white dial and an off-set small seconds at 10 o'clock and houses the Calibre 838P with a 60-hour power reserve. The watch also comes in a gem-set version in white gold. Piaget has also enhanced the feminine 34mm pink gold Altiplano with the 28 diamonds set in the seconds subdial at 10 o'clock. The Calibre 450P offers a 40-hour power reserve."All the products that we make have thin or ultrathin movements, from the simple mechanical watch to the highest complications such as the tourbillon or the chronograph," says Dimitri Gouten, president of Piaget Asia-Pacific.
